Open House & Garden Party

RELAX. UNWIND. REFRESH.

Join us for an island experience celebrating 55 years at Blockade Runner Beach Resort, established 1964. There will be light bites, drinks, music and resort tours of our new decor and restorations since Hurricane Florence. Mingle with the Blockade Runner leadership team as well as editors, writers and staff from Salt Magazine.

Meet us in the lobby and pick up your passport for an exclusive tour of the resort. You’ll see glimpses of our new island decor, guestrooms, private meeting rooms, our finest staterooms with private balconies, and East Oceanfront Dining (our fine dining restaurant). Then meet us in the seaside gardens for a festive gathering with music, drinks and island fare by Executive Chef Jessica Cabo. Brief remarks from the resort owners Bill & Mary Baggett, Salt Magazine editor Jim Dodson, Salt’s publisher David Woronoff, and Blockade Runner GM Nicolas Montoya will be followed by the presentation of some surprise vacation giveaways. Performances by Sea Pans Steel Drum Ensemble and Ed Stephenson and the Paco Band. You’ll need a reservation, and a fully stamped passport to qualify for the giveaway portion of the program.

Salt Magazine will share copies of their latest issue and invite you to learn more about this historic resort. Celebrate the Blockade Runner’s 55th year of hospitality on Wrightsville Beach. Experience the sense of community generations of family and friends have known here, and become a part of the unique story that continues to unfold, making our island such a special place to live, to work and to visit.
