The Blockade Runner Beach Resort is the perfect destination not only for surfing but other water activities, too, like paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking and fishing. The Sandcampers Children’s Program (for ages 6 to 13) is offered weekly throughout summer and teaches the basics: getting up on the board, catching a wave and riding it in. Sandcastle creations and surfside activities are included, too. This spring, the resort will offer a Surf’s Up Package for ages 8 and up, which includes two nights accommodations, breakfasts, a lunch, two private lessons in the mornings and a board for use in the afternoon.
